Ottawa editorial portrait photographer
Archive 01 / after light
Portraits with a pulse.
Cinematic portraits shaped by colour, place and personality—made in Ottawa with direction that leaves room for something real.

01 / Point of view
Not a new version of you. A more specific one.
The camera does not need a performance. It needs a reason to look.
We begin with what the portrait is for, the visual references you return to, and the parts of yourself you do not want edited into sameness. Styling, place and light create the frame; conversation and movement keep it human.
02 / Selected archive
Light, held deliberately.
A compact edit carries more authority than an endless gallery. The photographs stay at the scale their detail can support.

03 / The experience
A shape, not a script.
Enough preparation to make the session feel intentional. Enough room for expression, gesture and the unplanned frame.

Useful questions, plainly answered.
What if I do not know how to pose?
You do not need a pose list. The session begins with a visual plan, then uses simple direction and movement to keep the frame intentional without making it feel rehearsed.
Where can a portrait session take place?
Sessions are planned around Ottawa. Location choices should consider light, privacy, season, accessibility and any permit requirements.
How much does a portrait session cost?
Portrait session time is priced at $40 CAD per hour. Planned duration, image scope and any additional costs are confirmed before booking.
Can I bring visual references?
Yes. References can clarify colour, energy, styling and framing. They guide the visual brief without turning the session into a copy of someone else’s photographs.
